Day-Wise Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Jaipur
Jaipur – The pink city, is one of the most beautiful and culturally rich cities in India. Upon arrival in Jaipur, proceed towards your designated hotel in Jaipur and relax for some time, later proceed for your half-day sightseeing tour of Jaipur covering majestic palaces and forts of this pink city – includes City Palace, Nahargarh Fort, Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and Jal Mahal. Spend the evening at leisure, followed by dinner and overnight stay in Jaipur.
Day 2: Drive from Jaipur to Pushkar (140 Kms/Approx. 3 Hours)
After breakfast, Check-out from the Jaipur hotel and proceed towards Pushkar – one of the most popular pilgrimage destination in Rajasthan, known as the only temple dedicated to Lord Brahma, with a holy lake adjacent to the main temple. Legend has it that this lake was consecrated to Brahma, the creator of the universe when a lotus dropped from his hand into the vale and a lake emerged in that place. Upon arrival, check-In at the designated resort and visit the temple after a dip in holy lake. Stroll through the local bazaar for some shopping. Dinner and Overnight stay in Pushkar.
Day 3: Drive from Pushkar to Jodhpur (170 Kms/Approx. 4 Hours)
After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and proceed towards Jodhpur – featuring many palaces, forts, and temples, set in the stark landscape of the Thar Desert. It is popularly known as the “Blue City” among people of Rajasthan and all over India. After Check-in at the designated hotel, proceed to explore this blue city starting with Mehrangarh Fort, one of the largest forts in Rajasthan, it contains some of the finest palaces and preserves in its museum many priceless relics of Indian courtly life. For over five centuries Mehrangarh has been the headquarters of the senior branch of Rajput clan known as the Rathores. Later visit Jaswant Thada – a cenotaph, A beau ideal of architectural excellence, it is a white marble memorial built out of intricately carved sheets of marble; in fact, the facade seems to shine when hit by sunlight. Enjoy shopping at local bazars or enroute cover the iconic Umaid Bhawan Palace. Dinner and Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
Day 4: Drive from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (280 Kms/approx. 4.5 hours)
After breakfast, proceed towards the Jailsalmer – means the Hill Fort of Jaisal. Jaisalmer is sometimes called the “Golden City of India” because of the yellow sandstone used throughout the architecture of both the fort and the town below, imbues both with a certain golden-yellow light. Upon arrival, enjoy the warmth and welcoming traditions at camps at Sand dunes. Jaisalmer Desert Camps are a great way to experience the desert at night under the stars. The camps are located among the rolling sand dunes, away from the city noise. In Evening enjoy the experiential activities and dance rituals with a bonfire. Dinner and Overnight stay in Jaisalmer camp.
Day 5: Sightseeing in Jaisalmer
Enjoy full day at leisure, alternatively proceed to explore the golden city, starting with Jaisalmer Fort – a prominent landmark of the city, also called Sonar Qila (Golden Fort). Unlike most other forts in India, Jaisalmer Fort is not just a tourist attraction. It houses shops, hotels and ancient havelis (homes) where generations continue to live. Jaisalmer traces its inception to the 12th century. Lot of shopping options are also available in and around the fort. Later visit Gadsisar – a rainwater lake and a popular picnic spot, owing to its cool and scenic surroundings. In fact, it is a great vantage point to sight the spectacular Jaisalmer Fort from, when it is bathed in the glorious hues of the golden sun at sunrise. Return to camp by evening to relish the cultural activities. Dinner and Overnight stay in Jaisalmer.
Day 6: Departure from Jodhpur Airport (280 Kms/Approx. 4.5 hours)
After breakfast, check-out from Jaisalmer hotel and proceed towards Jodhpur Airport to board your return flight with memorable memories.
